3d printed version of yourself, this massive helment took 3 days print ona lulzbot taz 4 using pla filament. we can easily remove the part using a flexiblebuild plate allowing you to bend it just enough to pop off the print.â  we’ll use strips of masking tape to coverup the front of the helmet so we can paint the sides.

using a high glossily golden spray paint,we can apply a few coats to the sides and back of the helmet. let the paint dry for a half and hour beforecarefully removing all of the masking tape. high density led neo pixel strips can easilyto mount inside the helmet. check out the guide on the adafruit learningsystem for a circuit diagram.â  silicone sheathing protects the leds fromany moister, humidity or split. you can position the led strips anywhere youwant and secure them with your favorite adhesives. a small lipo battery and micro-controllercan mount to the back of the helmet.
