it's m-a-k-i-e-s. so mymakies.com. and uh,the most creative dolls in the world. they've won a whole bunch of awards as top toys, dad'schoice, and independent toy award of 2014 toy shop uk. see... see... they've got allthese awards. and so why? because you can make - you like basically create a doll likeyou would do like in sims, or any number of other like applications where you sort ofmake an avatar or a figure, but then makies has a 3d printer, and wigs and outfits andall kinds of cool stuff, and so they then print out your doll and ship it to you. sothis is my attempt at a mommy doll. so they come in this little tube, okay, that's howthey're shipped so they're safe. and she's all strapped in. she's all strapped in. andso the hair is the thing that, you know, i
keep having a problem with. first time wegot this hideous bob. no, the first time i think we didn't pick my hair. we got a hideousbob? really? but i don't remember the first one. we'll have to go look at the video. butso this time, i did this wig, which we also have on another doll over here, but it justreally needs to be tamed now so that it flattens. so that's all that really needs to happen.gracie's trying to flatten it out a little bit for me. so makies are $115 plus shipping,which sounds really expensive, but these are extremely articulated, 3d printed custom dolls.i mean you are - you - the range of things that you can pick out is just insane. so imade her sort of look like me. so she's got green eyes, and you have a number of greeneyes to pick from. she has my jawline. let's
see if the camera can get us both - therewe go. she has my jawline! right? so that was really, i played around a lot with thecheeks and then the chin part, to try to create - i got mommy's chin. yeah. to try and createmy little chin thing i've got going on here, and i think i did a pretty good job. and thenthe one thing that she has that i don't have, is elf ears, because i just really wantedher to have elf ears, because i like the elf ears. and you can make all kinds of extremeelf ears. so see, i'm already starting to get her hair to chillax a little bit more,and we can sort of like maybe put it behind her elf ears a little bit. there we go, see!it's already starting to look more like me. okay, now we get to --wait, i'm not done showing my outfit! i gotta
show my cool mommy outfit. so, and then youcan pick outfits that you want your makie to be delivered in. you can also buy additionaloutfits. the other cool thing is that you can buy - you can buy body parts, so the onesthat we've lost hands for, we can get new hands for, but you can buy hands that do - thathave different, you know, have different motions, or you can do the - you know - the i loveyou sign, and you can do different things. it's almost like wall jointed dolls, in thatyou can do that. and they are very articulated. hands, elbows, shoulders, elbows, knees, feetare articulated. look, she's got little black shoes on like my little black orthopedic shoes,and she's wearing jeans. okay gracie, show them your makies. okay, here's one of theoriginal ones. and then tell them how you
do this. this is actually the original mommymakie, but she's gone through some changes. she's gone through some serious changes, yes. okay. so one she has the wig from my othermakie. and i did her face up. now for my makies. yeah, look, she even did her nails. see? shegot little nail polish on, and i love the black wig, but this used to be me. but nowshe's been changed, dramatically. and i love the flowers. love the flowers. okay, go ahead. okay, here's a makie that actually got sentto us from the makies. mhmm, thank you makies. we actually didn't create him, they just sentus to him. and if i take his fabulous flower crown off and push his hair back - his wig'skinda falling off, but that's okay. that's
okay. oh there, that shows you how the wigscome off. there you go, see, you just pop off the top of their head. and switch them.it's like, ahhh! but that's - so the inside is also very -- so they did his face up likespecial, it's usually not this detailed, but they did it specially for us. so he's gotlike blushy cheeks, and freckles, and detailed eyebrows. yeah, and you can do - like gracie'sbeen working on her makie - her makie customizing skills, so she's been doing some really coolstuff. i love - i just love the flowers on this one's face actually. very into the flowers.i dunno if you guys got a good look at this. ehh, get over here. so yeah, i've been like, i'm trying to figureout a name for them. derek, tyler... cody...
okay, so can you suggest a boy's name forhim? cause we don't have a boy's name for him. we've been calling him creepy makie dudecause he was hittin' on the ever after high dolls for a little while, but we probablyshouldn't call him creepy makie dude, so - can you show them the other makie? okay, so thisis a makie that - she went wild without having a change because i wasn't really happy withthem, but now i think i've really improved, so -- that's the door bell, but daddy's here.um so this is her, and the first thing you're probably gonna notice, is - oh my god, thatis some elf ears. those are some serious elf ears. i put the elven ear setting up to thehighest one possible, and now it's like, you could like cut cheese with her ears. so yeah,um, i was originally just gonna give her eyeliner
and eyebrows because it kinda - and normallythe dolls kinda lack that, but then i gave her some apple jack-esque freckles, and heran this cute barbie dress. yeah, see this is what they look like when you get them.they don't have the defined eyebrows and eyeliner and all of that that gracie makes them. andso you can do that. you can do that with watercolor pencil, what do you use to do it? i use acrylicpaint and a sculpting tool. yeah, very sharp tool in order to do that. don't use that without-- get parental supervision, you know, and know that once you start painting on a doll,it's kind of permanent, so... alright, so i have worked mommy geekie's - mommy makie's- i can't talk! really cannot talk now. wow. i have worked mommy makie's hair into my hairstyle.how cool is that? lovin' it. look! look how
much that now looks like me. i think thesetwo would be siblings. i think these two could be brother and sister -- cause they have thesame hair. cause they have the same hair, but this is like, you know, with just a littlebit of really just did it with my fingers, managed to get the somewhat crazier pixiecut wig into a more mommy looking pixie cut. i actually really like it. i really dig her!she's so cool! love love love love love makie's. so uh, mymakie.com is the website, and originallymakie sent us codes to make two dolls, and then after that we got addicted, and eversince then i get text messages from gracie every once in a while that says 'can i orderthis makie i just made on the makie lab?' and i'm like, okayyyy, cause i know she'sgonna customize her and all that kind of good
